Red Bull Curates Canvas Cooler ’12, ’13, ’14

For three years, we produced the Red Bull Curates Canvas Cooler project across 13 markets in the United States. The program paired 20 local artists from different genres with local venue owners and challenged them to transform a blank, canvas-wrapped Red Bull cooler into an inspired work of art. Two of the top artists from each city were granted the opportunity to showcase and sell their work in Miami at Scope art fair during Art Basel. The program acted as a career elevation opportunity that gave hundreds of emerging artists wings.

ACTIVATION COMPONENTS:

  • 3-year program
  • 20 local artists + 20 accounts in each market
  • 21 at capacity activations spanning 13 different major metro markets
  • Attendee hashtag vote #CanvasCooler trended on Twitter in each market
  • 260 visual artists + 260 canvas coolers placed within Red Bull accounts, including bars, nightclubs, and sneaker and record shops
